The air smelled dust. It felt like a deep place. I children book the hole in the floor cautiously jumped into the hole, my heart pounding in my chest. The light from above disappeared, and the darkness engulfed me. I felt for a handhold, but there was just air.

The sound of my own breathing was unbearable.
